Deri, Mordechai Moti

Ben Zahava and Amram. Born on the 26th of Tamuz 5768 (26.7.1978) in Lod, the eldest brother of Odette. Moti began his studies at Bialik Elementary School in Lod and continued at the David Raziel Middle School in Herzliya. He returned to Lod and studied for another year at the Amal High School. Prior to joining the IDF, he worked as a salesman at the central bus station in Tel Aviv. Moti managed to serve only a month in the transport unit, and he seemed to be trying to be an impeccable soldier. His commanders described him as a quiet and friendly soldier, admired by his friends and commanders alike. Moti was killed at the military cemetery in Lod on 8 April 1996, leaving behind his parents and sister.
