Deri, Meir

Son of Mary and Chaim. Born on Friday, July 7, 1967 in Lydda, Meir studied at the Amlani elementary school in Lod, and after completing his elementary studies he applied for carpentry studies, and in April 1985 he was drafted into the IDF. His commanders testified that he was a good soldier, quiet, shy and motivated. On the 17th of Sivan 5755 (June 6, 1985), during basic training, Meir fell during his service. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Lod. Survived by his parents, seven brothers and three sisters – Charlie, Jacob, Amram, Shimon, Leah, Abraham, Maimon, Esther, Rachel and David
