Der, Abraham
Son of-Ze’ev and Chaya, may their memory be blessed. He was born on March 26, 1938 in Poland and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1951. He attended elementary school in Poland and graduated from Kibbutz Maoz Hayim High School where he established his residence. Avraham was quickly absorbed in the life of the kibbutz and was loved by everyone during his studies. He worked in various jobs in the kibbutz and especially liked working in the field. Avraham enlisted in the IDF in October 1956 and was assigned to the Infantry Brigade, where he was assigned to the infantry brigade, where he was assigned to the Army Corps of Engineers, and after completing his military service, In the course of infantry officers, in a platoon commanders’ course and in the IDF Command and Staff School, where he completed his courses cum laude and rose quickly in the ranks of the IDF. During his service, Avraham traveled abroad several times, visited several countries and held important positions that required great responsibility. Abraham married Erela Bella And in 1963 their daughter Smadar was born, and three years later their son Dan was born, and Avraham was able to combine his extensive activities in the IDF into a normal family life and he was an exemplary husband and father. On the 17th of Elul 5707 (August 24, 1975) Avraham died during his service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon. He left behind a wife, a daughter and a son
