Dekel, Amnon

Son of-Zion and Bruria. He was born in Tel Aviv on June 25, 1939. He completed his studies at the Tel-Nordau High School and the Geula High School in his city, and was drafted into the IDF in August 1957 and attained the rank of captain. He was an officer in the engineering corps of the combat battalion. He was a regular army officer and was sent by the Engineering Corps to a course at the Kent Military School in England. After two years of service there he was about to arrive for a homeland holiday, but he informed his family – his wife and daughter – that they had preceded him a month because he decided to postpone the week On 27 November 1967, he was buried in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
