Degani, Ram (Remy)


Son of Haim and Margalit. He was born on April 10, 1951. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1953. He studied at the Ma’apilim elementary school in Lod and continued his studies at the Ramle-Lod High School in the social track. In high school, Ram took part in the Gadna activities. He was a sports fan and his interests were wide and comprehensive. After completing his studies, he was accepted to the Air Force Technical School and was very successful in his studies there. Ram enlisted in the IDF in March 1971. After completing his basic training, he completed professional courses, including an aircraft mechanic course and a contact technician course in fighter planes, and was assigned to serve in an air force unit as a communications technician, “After his regular service, Ram volunteered to serve in the regular army for two more years and continued to advance quickly in the professional field and in the rank ladder.” On Monday, he volunteered to serve in the regular army, On August 19, 1974, Ram fell in the line of duty in the south of the country. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Lod. Survived by his parents and brother. His family donated a Torah scroll in memory of the Rambam Synagogue in Lod.
