Was born on September 27, 1963, on the eve of Yom Kippur, in Hadera, where he studied with his parents abroad and began his studies in elementary school in Minnesota, where he studied for three years. He returned to Israel, continued his studies at an elementary school in Ra’anana, and returned with his family to Boston, where he studied for a year, completing his three years of high school at the Ostrovsky High School in Ra’anana. He was trained as a member of a group, underwent general training, and eventually volunteered for a pilots’ course, successfully completing the first part of the course and taking a parachuting course, but Amir decided that he would contribute to the IDF As a fighter and infantry commander, and his commanders in the pilot’s course respected his decision and allowed him to return to the Nahal framework, promising that he would be able to complete the pilots’ course at any time in the future. He was assigned to a Nahal unit, underwent training and completed an officer training course as an outstanding trainee. He was given the rank of sergeant. Operation Peace for the Galilee fought in Lebanon. In August 1983, he returned to the Flying School. His love of flying knew no bounds and his commanders welcomed his return to the Air Force and the Air Force. On the 14th of Tishrei 5744 (21.9.1983) on the eve of Sukkot, he rented a civil aircraft course with a friend. The plane took off, but soon fell and crashed. The two soldiers who flew in it were killed. One of them was Amir. He was 20 when he died. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Ra’anana. Survived by his parents and two brothers. The commander of his unit wrote in a letter of condolence to his family: “After a short period of time at the flying school, he stood out from above, came to the course and hesitated, stood in all the studies and the strictest selection requirements, but decided to leave the course. “And again as an outstanding soldier. Afterward he returned to the pilots’ course with determination, combined, helped, pushed, and carried out all his duties. Just a soldier and a great man. The love of flight and the desire to succeed were strong, until his vacations were used for flight – until the last time he died “
