Dayan, Yitzhak (Machluf)
Son of Haviva and Yaakov, was born in 1928 in the Old City of Jerusalem and grew up in the poor neighborhood of Zichron Yosef. He studied in the Talmud Torah of his community and in the elementary school and at a young age went to work in a printing press in order to ease the burden of supporting the family. An old and loyal member of the Haganah. In the winter of 1948, he served in the service of the Jewish people and served in the defense of Jerusalem and its environs. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
