Davidovich, Shimon


Son of Ita-Rachel and Moshe, was born in 1926 in Ipshe, Carpatho-Ross. He attended elementary school, and at the age of 12 he was taken with his parents to a death camp. His parents were murdered, he was saved by a miracle, and when he was liberated he moved to the United Pioneering Youth Training Center in Germany, where he studied for carpentry, and when he was abroad, he joined the Haganah. He joined the fighters of Jerusalem and joined the Jerusalem fighters, but he was not able to train enough in Israel, and Shimon fell on the 17th of Av, 5708 (August 17, 1948) in the Battle of Armon Hanatziv. The commissioner, a good-tempered boy with signs of orphanhood, was left with no hope of recovery and full joy in the liberation of the country, but he lived only two months on the 10th of Tishrei 5710 (10.10.1950) Water in the Nahalat Yitzhak Military Cemetery.
