His works in wood and iron were very Yaffa, and they amazed the eye of their viewers in the exhibitions in which they were exhibited. Yossi built for his mother, a kindergarten teacher by profession, her kindergarten and its various facilities and playground. It is therefore not surprising that Yossi decided to abandon the theoretical school. Yossi was drafted into the IDF at the end of October 1981 and was assigned to the Ordnance Corps, where he spent some time as a guide in the Armaments Corps school, where he felt that his place was with the fighters. His friends and commanders, all his friends and his home, they had a second home, Yossi was a professional soldier, who performed his duties to the satisfaction of his commanders and was fully appreciated, and he was often called to the base when he was on holiday to do something that only he could do, On a Saturday night, on the eve of the start of the Peace for Galilee war, Yossi was called by telephone to gather his friends and report to him On June 20, 1982, Sgt. Yosef fell in battle in Lebanon and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Even Yehuda. He left behind his parents, brother and two sisters. About a year and five months after the fall of Yossi, another son, Maor, was born.
