David, Zaki (“Check”)
Son of Shimon and Fahima. Born in 1932 in Kurdistan, North of Iraq, the family immigrated to Israel in 1951 and settled in Jerusalem, where he studied at the Shilo Elementary School and then studied at the Kiryat Youth Youth High School in Jerusalem where he specialized in mechanics He was the first to establish a youth group in Arad, and he had a good Lev and helped others at every opportunity, and apart from his love for others, he was characterized by two qualities: courage and loyalty to the family, and his loyalty to his family. He was interested in mechanical questions and was particularly fond of solving problems in physics He served as a paratrooper in the Paratroopers Brigade and served as a paratrooper in the Paratroopers Brigade, serving in the Paratroopers Brigade and not complaining about difficulties, sticking to the goal, moving forward without fear and volunteering. He loved to study and wanted to continue his studies at the Technion, but he lacked the means, since he was the sole breadwinner of his large family. In the Six Day War, on the second day of her battles, he was seriously injured in a battle at the police academy; He was the first to break through the fence between Hebrew and Arab Jerusalem, and then a fatal blow was struck. About five weeks after his injury, on the 13th of Tammuz 5727 (July 13, 1967), he died of his wounds and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. In the book “Mariyot Gabro” of the paratroopers’ headquarters is devoted a page to his history and description of his last battle.
