David, Uri

Ben Samira and Shlomo. He was born on 26.6.1976 in Tel Aviv. Uri studied at the “Rishonim” elementary school in Bat Yam, and continued at the Hashmonaim High School in a general humanistic course. At the beginning of December 1994 Uri enlisted in the IDF and was assigned to the Signal Corps, where he underwent a training course for the position of a crew member who warned of enemy movements by placing explosive devices, Uri was an excellent soldier in the eyes of his commanders, Motivationalism, he showed a desire to move forward and even wanted to go to an officers ‘course and a team commanders’ course, and he was willing to give himself for his friends.On September 25, 1995, Uri fell in battle in Lebanon, when mortars were fired at Karkum . He was nineteen when he fell. Together with him was Sergeant Aviv Mor. Uri was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents, a sister – Smadar, and two brothers – Michael and Assaf. After his death Uri was promoted to the rank of corporal.
