He was born on April 2, 1955 in Tel Aviv and attended the religious elementary school at the Neveh Shalom boarding school in Bnei Brak, where he graduated from the Kfar Avraham High School in Petah Tikva David was orphaned by his mother when he was eight years old, and during his vacations he studied Torah with his father, who was a religious man, and saw his faith in his children as the most important thing. And a great satisfaction for his father when he was a diligent pupil who succeeds in his studies, and was a quiet, modest, obedient and devoted boy to his family, and at the age of sixteen his father passed away. When he was asked what he thought, he surprised everyone with his opinions and his original thought. David was drafted into the IDF in May 1973 and assigned to the Artillery Corps. After basic training and after completing a driving course, he was placed in the artillery corps base in the south of the country as a driver of a heavy vehicle. During the Yom Kippur War, he spent days and nights driving trucks under fire to transport fuel and food to soldiers at the front. A crisis came over him, when his good friend from childhood fell in battle. After the war his character changed, and his behavior was beyond recognition; He took every opportunity to spend time with his friends and explained it by saying: “Eat and drink … and three.” David was about to continue his studies after his discharge from the IDF On July 12, 1976 David fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, Condolences to the bereaved family The commander of the unit wrote: “David was a devoted and responsible soldier and a good friend to all of us. He volunteered for special assignments that required great effort and responsibility. He was well integrated into the social life of the unit and was accepted by all – friends and commanders. They all admired him not only as a soldier but as a person and as a friend. “His family donated to his memory a box for a box in the Etgarim Achim Synagogue, Yad Vashem in Tel Aviv.
