Born on May 14, 1967 in Be’er Sheva, an older brother to Dorit, Marius was an alert and curious child who, as a child, wanted to know and understand, to dismantle complex objects in order to see and understand how they were built and working, He studied at the Degania elementary school and at the “Makif D” high school, specializing in electronics, after which he was trained as an electronics technician, and he liked to read science fiction books and to show interest, knowledge and understanding in everything related to film, both in acting and in directing. In many films, he was prominent in electronics, but in ordinary subjects he found no interest or satisfaction. He was patient and patient with his immediate family and with his grandparents, he was patient and patient with everyone, listened a great deal and gave love, attention and attention. In the middle of July 1985, Marius was drafted into the IDF and went on to continue his studies in the academic reserve, at the end of which he was certified as an electronics technician by the Ministry of Education and Culture. After completing basic training, he was assigned to the Air Force and was sent to serve in the Hatzerim base in the Yam Unit, where he became a professional, and after three years in regular army service he volunteered to continue his regular army service. And the idea of improving and developing new instruments and methods Marius was sent to the Institute for Advanced Studies and Advanced Studies, completed a training course in safety at work and always completed high grades, and was chosen to participate in an advanced device development project. Marius loved his role and his work in the Air Force, combining education and development with a high contribution to the IDF, he said, “was the best soldier in his unit who always did his job at the highest level. He has a unique knowledge in his field, very professional, proactive, with new ideas, careful and responsible. “Marius found an answer to every problem and even if there were difficulties he did not let go until he found the right solution. In his last position he was in charge of a technical division, in a flight crew unit. Marius received a certificate of excellence from the unit commander, and a certificate of appreciation for his contribution to improving the art of computer communication. On September 11, 1994, during his journey from the base to his home, Mordechai was mortally injured in a car accident and two hours later he died, aged twenty-seven, and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva. He was promoted to Major. In the condolence letter to the family, the unit commander wrote: “Mordecai served eight years in the flight crews unit, and about a year ago he was appointed technical division manager, and during his tenure in the unit he performed a number of large projects, and Mordecai was among the leading and leading forces. Walking knowledge, a true professional who always strives for perfection. ” A certificate of appreciation was given to the family for his special contribution and work, and Mordechai’s friends and commanders produced a short and moving film that included pictures of his civilian and military life.
