Dannowitz, Ze’ev


Son of Yosef-Aryeh. He was born in 1910 in Baranowicze, Poland, and in 1935 immigrated to Eretz Israel. Ze’ev lived in Jerusalem and later in Tel Aviv. He joined the ranks of the Haganah, enlisted in the Guard Corps and served in the Mobile Guard. On the 5th of Kislev (28.11.1938) he went on a tour of the Haifa-Lod railway track and next to Lod’s train station he accidentally was shot by a friend’s rifle and Ze’ev was hit and killed.
