Nissim, son of Esther and Shmuel, was born in Tel Aviv on the 5th of Iyar, April 25, 1928. After completing his studies, he went to work and specialized in carpentry. He was one of the first to join the Givati ​​Brigade. Nissim was a strong, tall, lad and gave his friends a sense of security and courage. He participated in many battles in the plains of the Negev, in Abu Kabir, Tel A-Rish and also accompanied convoys to besieged Jerusalem. Nissim was an excellent machine gunner and protected his comrades in various combat operations. In the course of Operation Philistine, the Givati ​​forces attacked the Egyptian alignment near the Ashdod Bridge (the “Ad Halom” Bridge today), and they were forced to retreat. As long as he had ammunition, he fought with his comrades. Nissim he f,ell on the 25th of Iyar, June 3, 1948 and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kfra Varburg.
