son of Iza and Meir. Born in Morocco in 1948, He immigrated to Israel in 1963 and settled in Afula, where Salomon studied the profession of frameworks at- ORT vocational high school. Salomon was drafted into the IDF in mid-August 1965 and assigned to the Artillery Corps. He took a truck driver course and served as a driver for the entire period of his service. in the army, he changed his name to Shlomo. His discharge certificate was marked as an experienced driver. In mid-August 1968, after taking part in the Six Day War, Shlomo was discharged from compulsory service. In 1969, he married his girlfriend Mazal and eventually the couple had two daughters: Limor and Tali, “The two girls were Salomon’s little-loved ones,” and ” “Although his friends liked to laugh at him sometimes and give him the nickname: Abu Banat, Salomon was very pleased – he was ready for a third daughter.” At first, the couple lived in a rented apartment in Upper Nazareth, The new apartment was a source of joy for the young couple, but they did not manage to move to it in the Yom Kippur War Shlomo was killed and two shells were blown up next to him. he was brought to rest in the cemetery in Afula, leaving a wife and two daughters, a father, a mother, five sisters and two brothers “In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, Defense Minister Moshe Dayan wrote:” Shlomo was a good soldier and a dedicated friend. He was fond of his commanders and comrades in arms, and his commander wrote: “Salomon was loved by all the soldiers in our department. He received this sympathy because of his strong desire to help and his concern for others in all the daily matters of his department. “In memory of Salomon, the family donated a Torah scroll to the synagogue in Afula.
