Danino, Michael


Son of Esther and David, was born on 3.7.1961 in Sde-Zvi, in the Negev, in a family with many children. Michael studied for seven years at the local elementary school, and then went on to study for a year at the Nechalim school near Ofakim. In 1975 he was injured in a car accident, and his health level declined. Michael was afraid that he would not be drafted into the IDF, and when he approached the army, he asked to be recruited to a position he could fulfill, despite his medical limitations. In June 1979, Michael enlisted and underwent general training. He completed a truck driver course and was assigned to serve as a driver in the supply force. On the 4th of Adar 2, 5741, he fell while serving and was buried in the cemetery in Moshav Mabuim in the Negev, leaving behind his parents, six brothers and five sisters.
