Rahamim, the son of Shoshana and Moshe, was born in 1941 in the city of Baghdad, Iraq. In 1951, at the age of ten, Rahamim and his family immigrated to Israel. The family chose to settle in Rehovot, where Rahamim completed elementary school and continued to study in a vocational school. Rahamim had three other sons and two daughters. His parents worked hard to support the large family and tried to give all their children education and education; Despite their sincere efforts, Rahamim was forced to stop his studies and make do with a vocational course of the Ministry of Labor. He studied the work of the frameworks and completed his academic studies, even though he did great work in vocational studies as well. He had quick hands and despite the fact that most of his spare time had to devote himself to helping the family, he did not change the way of life of his peers. For two years, from 1956 to 1968, he regularly participated in the activities of the Gadna Club in Kfar Ekron, where he enjoyed the club’s activities and was well-suited to the atmosphere and lifestyle of the IDF. Rahamim was drafted into the IDF in early 1959 and assigned to the infantry corps, and after completing basic training he completed advanced courses in the IAF and eventually was assigned to one of the field units of the IAF and was satisfied with him and his behavior as a soldier and as a man, In 1964 he married his girlfriend Rachel and moved to Eilat, where he worked hard and invested every possible effort in establishing the economic future of his rapidly growing family, working in the copper mines in Timna, and his family’s economic situation improved each year. In 1969 the family moved to Bat Yam and Rahamim became a kab The first success was the construction of the cranes at Ashdod port, and immediately after the completion of this work, Oved began construction of a new power station in Ashdod – Eshkol C. In this work, Rahamim suffered a severe blow, from which he failed to recover. A cable that had been disconnected from one of the cranes hit him and for two months Rahamim was hospitalized, and even after he was released, he did not regain his strength.In the Yom Kippur War Rahamim went out with his unit and participated in the battles of containment and break-up in Sinai. ), Shortly after the cease-fire went into effect, was killed while carrying out his duties. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left behind a wife, two sons and two daughters, a mother, three brothers and two sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
