Daniel, Mordechai

Mordechai, son of Rivka and Yosef Daniel, was born in 1929 in Israel. Mordechai was a member of the Hagana and immediately at the outbreak of the War of Independence, joined the Palmach in the Yiftah Brigade. Mordechai participated in battles in the Upper Galilee, the Beit She’an and Jezreel Valleys and Mishmar Ha’emek. On 14 Nisan, April 23, 1948, he fell in an action against the village of Zar’in in the valley. He was laid to rest in the Kiryat Motzkin cemetery.
