Daniel Dani Novogrotsky
Son of Rosella and Nachum. Born on May 14, 1963 in Moshav Kfar Achim, he studied at the Mevo’ot Elementary School in Be’er Tuvia and completed his studies at the Tzuk Regional High School in Beer Tuvia, where he grew up and was surrounded by a loving family and was the second He had a special sense of humor and a smile that fascinated everyone around him, Danny was drafted into the IDF in mid-October 1981 and volunteered for a pilot’s course. An original thought, flying talent and adventurousness, brought him to the end of the course successfully as an excellent chopper pilot. According to his commanders, in his personal file, Danny was “a very dedicated officer as a commander and as a performer who goes down to every detail and verifies his execution,” “an excellent officer, a pilot and an excellent instructor.” In summaries of interviews he wrote: “An excellent officer, broad-minded and a professional and a very good flight instructor.” Danny was chosen to be one of the first Pathan pilots, and was sent to the United States, where he took part in a conversion course and a ‘Pathan’ instructors course. In the summer of 1988, in the rural atmosphere he so loved, he married his girlfriend Sharon. Danny planned to study engineering and expand the family. Unfortunately, he was interrupted by his lively and joyous life when, on two months after returning from his studies in the United States, he fell while serving in the south of the country and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Tuvia. Survived by his wife, parents, two brothers – Yehuda and Avinoam and two sisters – Yael and Noga. He was promoted to major after his death. He also received a certificate of appreciation and respect for his service in the regular army.
