Daniel, Abraham (“Avi”)

Son of Daniel and Couton. He was born in 1948. The family immigrated to Israel in 1951. When Avraham reached school, he began to study at the elementary school in Adulam, and when he graduated from elementary school he studied at the Eshel Hanasi agricultural high school. He served in this corps until the 23rd of Shvat 5728 (22.2.1968), during which he fell while serving in the vicinity of Neot Hakikar and is still in his compulsory service. The commander of his unit wrote in a letter of condolences to his family that Avraham was a member of a team of commanders who did everything in their power to fulfill security discipline. His energy and devotion to the position left him in the command stages and in his fall he served as a platoon sergeant. Was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
