His love for the kibbutz and its people was obvious, and although not now the time to deal with guesses, we think we knew him so well that he would return to us sooner or later. In the Yom Kippur War, Nahum fought in the Golan Heights as a front-line observation officer, and from a tank he aimed the artillery fire while his unit helped the armored forces to repel the Syrian attacks on the 14th of Tishrei, 10.10.1973), the victim of the tank in which he fought and Nachum fell, was brought to eternal rest in the military section of Kiryat Shaul, and left behind a mother and sister, who died of a malignant disease on December 1, 1973.
