He was released from regular service in the middle of May 1967, and immediately volunteered for reserve duty during the Six-Day War, after which he was hired to work at the Elmo factory and worked on winding motors. As an insurance agent, another change took place in his life when he married Sarah, who established their home in Holon and were born to him He gave his sons – the first of whom he celebrated his Bar Mitzvah a month before his fall – a traditional religious education because he believed that in this way he would understand our connection to the state and the country more than he could, and even more, He was active in the Civil Guard in Holon, took care of the sports department of the Holon Country Club and adopted the club’s football team, and he took care of the Zion Synagogue in Tel Aviv , Whose late father was his gabbai, and filled all of the synagogue’s shortage and needs. Nathan’s hand was open to all needy, and he secretly gave money to many people. Nathan did his reserve service in an IAF construction unit and participated in the Yom Kippur War. During his army service, he continued to pursue his military service and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. On the 5th of Iyar, 5742 (February 2, 1982), Sergeant Nathan was killed while serving in the military cemetery in Holon, leaving behind a wife and three sons, a mother, three brothers and two sisters. “Nathan was an exemplary soldier, devoted without limits and always did all the tasks in the best possible way.
