Dalal, Menashe
Youngest son of Aaron and Marcel. Was born on December 17, 1943 in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, and when his parents immigrated to Israel with him, the children of the neighborhood where they settled loved him and his teachers did not stop admiring his talents. He studied at the “Ahl Shem” school in Ramat Gan, where he belonged to “Tzofim” and tended to exercise, and he wanted to maintain his flexibility in sports, and in literature he loved the history of nations and especially the history of the nations Israel The smile and joy of life were always on his face, because he hated sadness and did not stop his family and his friends: “Life is too short to waste them on worries . “He did not waste any time in his life and wanted everything, and indeed, by his swift decision and the ability to perform, he did everything except for one thing that he spared himself for his parents: he wanted to go abroad and see the world, but He was drafted into the IDF in November 1961 and assigned to the Armored Corps. He was then called up for reserve duty from time to time and participated in the Six-Day War. On the 28th of Kislev, 5728 (December 28, 1967), he fell in the vicinity of a leveling farm with a mine. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. The commander of the battalion in which Menashe served in the Six Day War wrote to his parents that he had met their son both during the waiting period and during the battle – “during this period Menashe became a loyal and dedicated friend and a courageous soldier who is ready to fulfill any role entrusted to him with exemplary responsibility and dedication.”
