Dahari, Yitzhak
Son of Sarah and Shalom, was born on November 10, 1927, in the Nahliel neighborhood near Hadera and attended the elementary school in Nachliel. He was a quiet and obedient child and accepted by his friends for his honesty and good character. After graduating from elementary school, he studied for six months in Yeshiva in Petah Tikva, but because of his parents’ material distress, he was forced to stop his studies and start a work life. He worked in various places in mechanics, carpentry and diamond polishing, and excelled in his work. In 1943 he joined the ranks of the Haganah and was very active and devoted to it. He participated in the emigration of illegal immigrants and held various positions. After the United Nations General Assembly resolution on the partition of the land, he volunteered to serve in the Alexandroni Brigade on December 1, 1947. He was one of the defenders of the settlements who were facing the Triangle Center and participated in a sabotage operation in the Lev of the Triangle, Rosh Ha’ayin, Rantiya, Arab Kfar Saba, and among the attackers of Tira During Operation Dani, on July 17, 1948, he and his comrades attacked the Arab village of Kula. Yitzhak was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
