Dahari, Abraham
Avraham, ben Sarah and Zechariah, was born on the 7th fo Sivan, June 6, 1946, in Holon. Avraham was drafted into the IDF at the end of September 1965 and was assigned to Nahal, where he found the way to combine military service with agricultural work in the countryside. He served in the Nahal Brigade’s reconnaissance unit. With his comrades in the unit, he participated in the battles of the Six Day War. At the end of September 1968, he was discharged from regular service and assigned to the Armored Corps, to the armored infantry unit, where he was called for periods of reserve service. In the Yom Kippur War, his unit participated in the battle of containment and the conquest against the Egyptians On the 27th of Tishrai, October 23rd, 1973, Abraham was hit and killed when a car hit a mine,Avraham was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery. He left behind a wife and two sons, parents, six sisters and three brothers, and was promoted to the rank of corporal in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family: “Avraham served in the Armored Corps and was a devoted soldier and loyal friend.
