Dahan-Morley, Dr. Salomon


Son of Kotti and Yosef, was born on May 12, 1920 in the city of Malila, in Sephardic Africa. On September 28, 1948 he arrived in Israel and joined the IDF as a doctor by profession. He joined the Medical Corps and served as a military doctor in the IDF’s Minorities Unit. During the “Hiram” operation he participated with the unit in the attack on the village of Yanuh. During an enemy counter-attack, while treating a wounded soldier, was hit by an enemy bullet and fell on 28 October 1948. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Nahariya.
