Dahan, David (Dudik)
Son of Miriam and Shimon, was born on the 7th of Adar 5723 (7.3.1963) in Haifa. He was from a traditional family with many children. He began his studies at the Shaarei Torah elementary school, and after six years of education he moved to the “Pirchi Aharon” High School, where he completed his high school studies in the humanitarian track. In July 1981 he enlisted in the Paratroopers Brigade, underwent a basic training course, a parachuting course, and a combat paramedics course, and was assigned as a combat medic in his unit when the Peace for Galilee War broke out. He joined the force that broke the terrorist strongholds on the line On June 19, 1982, the APC was accidentally attacked by an IAF aircraft. The soldier was killed by a missile and David was killed when he died at the age of 19. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa and left behind his parents, four brothers and three sisters. He fell in Damur, Lebanon. Served in the medical corps, was an outstanding medic, loved by all his friends and commanders. “The commander of his unit wrote to his family:” It was not easy for David’s way in the paratroopers.
