Dahan, David

David, son of Masuda and Shlomo Dahan, was born in Tiberias on the 12th of Adar 1, 1927 (14.2.1927). An only son with six sisters. After completing his studies in the Talmud Torah, his parents decided to teach him the profession of tailoring. He had two years of compulsory service, and when he completed his army service, David came to serve as a police officer in the Israel Police, where he succeeded in all the courses to which he was sent, received the position of investigator, and rose to the rank of sergeant. He served in a proper manner and was loved by all his commanders and friends. In the fourth year of his service as a sergeant, on the 23rd of Cheshvan 5713 (11.11.1952), David was killed during his service. Two days before his death, the President of the State of Israel, Chaim Weizmann, died, and David thought of traveling with several other policemen to pass his coffin and pay his last respects, but he did not win. He is buried in the cemetery in Tiberias. He left a wife and three children.
