Son of Nufja and Muhammad, brother to Salah, Fatma, Aliya, Nassib, Suheila, Maha, Zahur and Zaher. He was born on January 11, 1965, in the village of Majar. His brother Joseph fell in 1954 while serving in the Israel Defense Forces, 11 years before the birth of Shakib Shakib grew up in a traditional religious home where he was patient with values ​​of patience and tolerance, love of others, mutual respect, fear of God, trustworthiness, love of life, diligence and modesty. His primary character was his personality and his influence on his behavior, as evidenced by all his acquaintances: he made elementary school at the B elementary school and attended high school in the village of Makif Aleph in his village, and in 1982 the family lost another son, Salah. He successfully completed his high school studies, enlisted in the IDF as part of the Academic Reserve and completed his BA in History and Archeology And Son of-Gurion University of the Negev in Be’er Sheva. In March 1987, after completing his academic studies, Shakib began his compulsory military service and shortly thereafter went on to an officers’ course, at the end of which he was assigned as a platoon commander at Hashomer Hashomer and later became a lieutenant.In 1990 Shakib joined the ranks of the career army and served in the Civil Administration, Key: Commander of the Huwwara Representation, Deputy Head of the District Coordination and Liaison Office in Nablus and Commander of the Allenby Bridge In 2001, Shkib was appointed deputy commander of Jericho. He fulfilled all his responsibilities with great responsibility and dedication. As part of his military service, he studied and completed his BA in Business Administration. In September 1988 he married Suha and over the years their three children were born: Rizk, Rafat and Rayah. Shakib loved giving very much, saw it as a supreme value and believed that all giving was fruit. He was very attached to the land and during his spare time worked together with his brothers the plots of family olives. The value of giving has also been integrated into this work: if one invests in the olive trees, they reward the fruit. Shakib always gave everyone around him love, attention, encouragement and help when needed. He was careful to participate in the celebrations of his relatives and friends, as well as to fulfill the mitzvah of comforting mourners. He always wanted to help the needy, financially and in every other way, and always did it quietly and secretly. Major Shakhib Dagesh fell in the line of duty on February 19, 2003. He was laid to rest in the military section of his village cemetery in Majar, leaving behind a wife and three children, a mother and seven brothers and sisters. General Amos Gilad, the head of the Civil Administration, Brigadier General Ilan Paz, and the head of the Majar local council, and his colleagues have produced an album in memory of pictures and excerpts written by his friends and colleagues.
