Dagesh, Chalil
Son of Ahadiah and Ibrahim. Was born on May 21, 1972 in the village of Majar to a typical Druze family that respected human and social values, and in this light Khalil was educated, who was an example of his connections with his peers and his family. He attended elementary school and continued his studies in a comprehensive high school in his native village. His friends liked him and appreciated his good qualities, his honesty and his credibility. He served as an ideal figure for Druze youth. At the beginning of November 1989, Halil was drafted into the IDF and was placed in one of the IDF bases as a driver. Khalil liked his army service and volunteered for many missions. On August 4, 1992, Khalil fell in the line of duty. He was buried in the Druze cemetery in the village of Majar. Survived by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Khalil, was promoted to sergeant after his fall. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “Khalil was one of our best young men, and he radiated joy, honesty and openness, and Khalil died in an accident under tragic circumstances. Which has existed for many years between the Druze community and the Jewish people and the State of Israel. “
