Dagan, Yosef (“Yossi”)

Son of David and Rachel. He was born in Beit Hanan on 13 November 1939. After completing his studies at the elementary school in Moshav, he studied at the Kaduri agricultural school and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement in the moshav and also guided young groups in the village. He belonged to the Gadna after the war. And after enlisting in the IDF as part of the Nahal Brigade, he underwent a platoon commander’s course, a parachuting course and a course in communications. On the 18th of Elul 5719 (21.9.1959) he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in Beit-Hanan, where he saw the light of the world for the first time.
