Dadon, Yehuda
Born in Israel on December 10, 1959. In 1963, his family immigrated to Israel and settled in Tiberias, completing six years of schooling at the Beit Yaakov elementary school in Tiberias, He went to the Kelt school, where he studied for one year, then moved to Miftan, where he spent two more years, after leaving school, began working as a construction worker and earning a living. Yehuda was conscripted into the IDF in November 1977 and assigned to the Armored Corps. After basic training he took the course and became a quartermaster. He was assigned to an armored brigade in the north of Israel where he was employed by profession. He was a good soldier and tried very hard to succeed in his position and to fulfill the wishes of his commanders. Everyone was pleased with him and his work, and he quickly integrated into his new friends and was loved and accepted by them. On the 16th of Tammuz, 5738 (July 16, 1978) Yehuda fell during his service, and was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the cemetery in Tiberias, leaving a mother, two brothers, and two sisters in a letter of condolences to the bereaved family. To us a few months ago, and immediately upon his arrival we were impressed by his strong desire to serve in our unit and to discover his strength and ability; Indeed, he revealed to all of us that the strong and sincere will overcame all obstacles on the way. He was a favorite of all, a loyal friend, a Simcha man. We tried our best to help him improve his feelings in the unit. His death has shed upon us but is heavy, and his image will always be before our eyes. “
