Yehuda studied at the Ed Gordon Elementary School in Kiryat Haim and completed his studies in mechanics and carpentry in the ORT Sprinzak vocational school in Kiryat Haim, where Yehuda was outstanding at Yedioth Ahronoth, with his mechanical ability to dismantle and reassemble instruments He was gifted with high intelligence, and although he did not invest in his studies, he was diagnosed as a gifted child, and when he reached high school he was even offered a special school for gifted children, And most of his service as a mechanic in the Golani Brigade. In January 1982, he married his girlfriend Pnina Ophir, and in the same year began to work on car repairs on behalf of Shagrir. He loved his work, invested all his energy in it, and earned the respect of his colleagues and the recognition of the customers for his great devotion. In 1987 he began to specialize in special garage works, and became famous in his field. As part of the reserve service he was highly regarded for his professional skills as a technical squad commander. Later on, he served as the deputy ordnance officer. In this role, he demonstrated leadership and dedication, as well as consideration and sensitivity toward his soldiers, who loved him very much. Many of them became friends outside the military framework. Over the years his three sons – Sagi, Roi and Idan – were born. At the same time that he was a devoted and loving father to his children, Judah was a pain for his two younger brothers, and a counselor and supporter of his older brothers. In 1995 Yehuda began building his home in Kiryat Haim, and in the course of that he studied in an advanced course in automotive mechanics. Despite the great effort and burden that lay on his shoulders at that time, he was always full of joy of life and the good smile never left his lips. Yehuda fell during the performance of his duties on 24 Iyar 5756 (13.5.1996). He was thirty-five years old when he fell. He left behind a wife, three sons, a parents, a sister – Hannah, and four brothers – David, Ofer, Moshe and Michael. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. Yehuda’s family commemorated the entry of a Torah library in his name to Yeshurun ​​Synagogue in Kiryat Haim. His family and friends published a booklet commemorating his memory. Lt. Col. Haim, commander of the battalion in which Yehuda served, wrote to the family: “From the day Yehudah joined our battalion, he left his mark, both in his occupying personality and in his professional quality. He stood out in his presence and demonstrated leadership, professionalism, dedication, excellence, and exemplary brotherhood. These qualities did not escape the attention of his commanders, and the question of his progress was only a matter of time. As commander of the battalion’s technical division, he successfully filled the position of the battalion ordnance officer.
