Dabour, Muhammed


Son of Delala and Akab. Muhammad was born in 1937 in the village of Beit Jann in the north of the country, near Mount Meron. In November 1956, Muhammad enlisted in the IDF and was part of the second round of enlistment of young Druze, after being conscripted into the regular army of the young state, and was assigned to the Druze unit in the IDF. On November 2, 1962, Muhammad was drafted into reserve duty with his comrades in the army, and they were sent to guard duty in the south of the country, on the border with Egypt, where they worked to secure the border and prevent the infiltration of infiltrators into Israel. On November 7, 1962, six days after he began reserve service, Muhammad fell in the line of duty.
