Cotton, Uri
Uri, son of Samson and Rebecca Cotton, was born on the 28th of Kislev 5737 (December 2, 1937) in Nes Tziona. He was drafted into the IDF (in March 1956) and reported to the Paratroops. From time to time he went to reserve duty and even before the Six Day War he was called to serve. On the second day of the battles, on the 27th of Iyar 5727 (6.6.1967), Uri fell in a battle near the Lions’ Gate in Old Jerusalem. He left a wife and a young son. He was buried in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, and after a while was transferred to Dafna near the grave of his pilot brother.
