Comforti, Shevet

The only son of Comero and Nissim was born in 1927 in Dubnica, Bulgaria. From his childhood he aspired to immigrate to Palestine. Before the war he was a member of Hashomer Hatzair, and after the war he renewed his membership there. In 1948 he immigrated to Israel, joined Kibbutz Revivim and began to work in his civilian professions – a tailor and a mechanic. In order to get to know the surroundings, he got on a vehicle that brought water to the tank next to a cemetery. The vehicle was overturned, and he was killed on the 3rd of Elul, September 7, 1948 near Bir-Asluj, and buried in Revivim. On the 1st of Elul 5710 (14.8.1950) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak.
