Cohen, Zvi
Zvi, son of Kitton and Yehezkel Cohen, was born in 1922 in Iraq. He studied in the Talmud Torah of the community, in high school, and later worked as a clerk. In 1945 he immigrated to Israel by land and began agricultural training at Kibbutz Naan in order to settle in a kibbutz farm and work in agriculture. During the War of Independence he joined the defenders and took part in various activities. Zvi fell on 30 Nisan, 9.5.1948. He was buried in Sanhedria cemetery. On November 8, 1951, he was transferred to the eternal military cemetery at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
