Cohen, Ze’ev-Moshe

Son of Golda (Zehava) and Meir, was born on February 6, 1924 in Safed. He fell during a battle, on the 27th of Nisan 5708 (May 5, 1948) and the fighters were forced to withdraw from the deadly fire and leave his body in the hands of the enemy. A few days later, the enemy was uprooted from the city and the surrounding area, and Ze’ev’s corpse was found and brought to its resting place in the military cemetery in Safed.
