Cohen, Yosef (Amnon)


Son of Ezra and Tamar. He was born on the 27th of Kislev 5724 (25.11.1923) in Alexandria of Egypt. He immigrated to Israel in 1935. He attended high school. He joined the Haganah for a short period of time, but in 1944 he left the ranks and joined the Lehi and was active in it until the declaration of the State of Israel. He served in the regular army until 1953, and after his release he began to deal with the publishing and books he published in the framework of the Israel Library and the Kora, where he served as a reservist in the Sinai Campaign, Sinai, and in one of its battles, on the 27th of Marcheshvan 5717 (1.11.1956), fell and was buried in the Military Cemetery of the Emergency Army in Shelah and on the 12th of Mershvan 5718 (6.11.1957) was transferred to the eternal cemetery he left a wife and three children.
