Ben Avraham and Aliza. Joseph was born in Morocco in 1935. He completed his studies in the country of his birth and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1951. In 1952 the family moved to a transit camp in the Hadera area. Later he was transferred to the Israel Air Force, where he also studied driving. In April 1955, after completing compulsory military service, Yosef enlisted in the Border Police, took a course for guards at the National Police School, and was later posted as a combat soldier in an operational unit. As part of his job, he participated in patrols, ambushes and observations in the Jordanian border area. Yosef was known in the unit as a modest, pleasant man with a strong desire to serve the country and fight for it. In the civilian framework, outside his unit, he had many friends with whom he would go on various walks and walks. Joseph fell on guard duty on March 12, 1956, during an exchange of fire with Jordanian forces in the Karkur area. Twenty-two years old. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Hadera cemetery.
