Son of Jacob HaKohen and Tamar. Born in 1949 in Casablanca, Morocco, his family immigrated to Israel in 1955. He studied at the Morasha elementary school in Ofakim and completed his studies with honors, and after his fall, the principal of his school told him about his positive qualities, his spirit And his tendency to give up to his opponents with the clear recognition that unnecessary quarrels and arguments must be avoided, and the director noted his diligence and diligence in his studies and the enthusiasm and responsibility he displayed in fulfilling every task assigned to him and especially his quick perception, Which helped him easily overcome the leachate He was a member of the “Yeshiva of the South” yeshiva in Rehovot and graduated from the religious high school He was a member of the Bnei Akiva youth movement and was a counselor in the movement. Joseph was very popular with his friends, he used to guide the parties in the class, and even wrote down delicate, sorrowful poetry. After graduating from high school, he studied at the Teachers College in Be’er Sheva and when he graduated from the Midrasha, he was ordained as a teacher. The director of the Midrasha noted Joseph’s firm stand on his views during his “youthful rebellion.” He was able to present his views and arguments with great persuasion. However, he never shied away from honestly saying what with his Lev. He was drafted into the IDF in the middle of August 1967. During his service in the Israel Defense Forces, he was a disciplined and exemplary soldier. He acclimatized into the rigid military society and complained to his friends and commanders. On the 16th of Adar I 5702 (February 22, 1970), he died and was put to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
