Cohen, Yehuda

Yehuda, son of Mercada and Shlomo Cohen, was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1933. The family immigrated to Israel, and Yehuda joined the IDF on June 13, 1951. On the 28th of Adar (March 1, 1957), when Yehuda’s squad was ambushed against infiltrators in the Jordan Valley, he was wounded and died. Yehuda was twenty-four years old when he fell. He was buried in the Haifa cemetery.
