Ben Rachel and Chaim. He was born on September 14, 1950 in Haifa. He began his studies at the Haya Ziv Elementary School and continued his electronics studies at the Sammat School in Haifa. Upon completing his studies, he was certified as an electronics engineer. Prior to his induction, he underwent tests for a pilot course. In February 1970, Uri was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, and after a short period of time he applied for a pilot’s course and retired from the liaison battalion in which he served as an electronics engineer and transferred to the IAF. At the end of this year, after much deliberation, he left the army and went to study at the Technion, where he served in the army, In order to complete his degree as an electronics engineer, he participated in the Yom Kippur War He married Liat and his son Yuval was born in July 1990. In the middle of July 1990, he was called up for reserve duty, and on the 4th of Av 5760 (July 26, 1990) Uri fell during his service following a heart attack and was laid to rest in the military cemetery In Haifa. Survived by a wife and a son of Yuval. He was forty when he died. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “Uri is one of the veterans of the unit. Many contributed and invested time. A devoted and responsible soldier with initiative and development. Uri did everything he had to do in the best and most effective way. “
