Cohen, Simcha


Son of Huato and Assila. He was born in Tevet in January 1922. He graduated from elementary school there and immigrated to Israel in 1950. He worked in carpentry and was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in December 1950. He fell in combat on the 27th of Adar II (April 4, 1951) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. His daughter was born a few months after he fell. Among the conquerors of Ein Zeitim. He graduated cum laude with a heavy machinery course. He excelled as a machine gunner and a fighter.
