Cohen, Shimon (Yaakov)

Son of Zvi and Gizela. He was born on January 24, 1924, in the city of Dorohoy, Romania. His parents were killed there in a pogrom in 1940. He graduated from elementary school in his hometown. He served in the Romanian army for a year and a half and in 1951 immigrated to Israel. In December 1952, he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and on January 1,1st 1953, he fell in the line of duty and was taken to the eternal rest to the cemetery in Zichron Ya’acov, leaving a wife and three children.
