Cohen, Rachamim
Son of David and Miriam. He was born in Yemen in 1933. He was three years old when his parents brought him to Israel, and after completing his studies at the “Hamizrahi” boys’ school in Tel Aviv, he helped his family, but found time to play sports. And was registered with the Bnei Yehuda Association in Tel Aviv, where he was drafted into the IDF in October 1951 and served as a driver. At the end of his regular service, he worked as an independent driver. Five years later he participated in the Sinai Campaign. He was gentle and pleasant, courteous about others and always willing to come to his aid. On the 18 th of Av 5760 (18.8.1960) he fell while fulfilling his duties and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left a wife.
