Cohen, Nahum


Son of-Sarah-Rivka and Yitzhak-Moshe was born on 29.6.1913 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Where he completed elementary school and worked in various jobs. In 1938 he immigrated to Israel. Here he tried his luck at work in various places and finally got on a regular job at the “Shell” company in Haifa. He got married and had a daughter. As a veteran member of the Haganah, he fulfilled his duty and during the winter of 1948, when he fought in the Armili Brigade, he participated in the occupation of Haifa and fell in battle on the bridge of Rashmiya, on the 19th of Nissan, (28.4.1948) was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
