Cohen, Moshe (Alter)

Cohen, Moshe (Alter)

Son of Henia and Dov, was born on February 15, 1925 in Safed. After completing elementary school, he began to work. His father, the plasterer, taught him his profession and the boy specialized in it and helped his father and the family. Moshe grew up and became a very healthy and strong boy. He had a quiet temperament, but since the outbreak of the Arab riots and riots following the UN resolution to partition the country, a fire had broken out in his midst, all of which said revenge on the rioters and always sought the most dangerous jobs. They had to “screw” the planks for the casting of the concrete, and this work had to be done outdoors, in the area exposed to the sniper bullets, and Moshe volunteered to take the job and sacrificed himself knowingly, 1948. He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Safed.
