Cohen, Mordechai
Mordechai, son of Matilda and Zvi Cohen, was born in Krasny, Poland in 1905. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1925 and settled in Hadera. On May 18, 1941, he went on a boat carrying 23 members of Haganah for the purpose of blowing up the refineries in Tripoli, Lebanon. The action was not carried out and the reason for this has not been known to this day. The fighters did not return to their base and their traces were unknown. Mordechai left behind a wife, a son and a daughter.
